This is easily the most beautiful time of my entire life. Yesterday my wife and I had lunch and we were talking about boy baby names. She really likes the name Ethan, but I prefer the name Troy, so I guess we’re going to maybe have to flip a coin or something. I’ve always wanted to name my son this but she really likes the actor Ethan Hawke, which I don’t think is the smartest reason to name a child. Hopefully we can come to some sort of agreement, because I really don’t want my son to go through life being named after some forgotten actor.

The other day I was in a store and I decided to buy a book entitled unique baby names. In it I found a variety of cool monikers from around the world, some of which even sounded pretty cool. I showed the book to my wife as soon as I got home, which she said she had no need of it because we already had selected a name. This was news to me and as we talked about it more and more I realized that she wasn’t going to be reasonable about this one bit at all.
